Governor Baker Signs FY20 Budget with CPA Funding Increase

Great news for CPA communities! On July 31, 2019, Governor Baker officially signed the FY20 state budget providing a permanent increase to the CPA Trust Fund. Beginning in 2020, the increased recording fees at the Registries of Deeds are expected to raise an estimated $36 million in additional revenue for CPA communities each year. The budget also includes language that would provide up to $20 million in budget surplus funds (if available) for the November 2019 CPA Trust Fund distribution.
